What a blessing! That about sums up the entire experience thus far. Stay tuned...

P.S. - I will not share with the world wide web my experience with a c-section (all good!!!) but if you see me, ask! There are some pretty funny stories from the O.R. (like Bryan almost passing out...don't all dads do that???).

He's Here!!!

Parker Lee Veselka was born today at 6:44AM.  He weighed in at 8lb 4oz and was 18 1/2 inches long.  Both he and Carey are doing well.  Now the fun begins...

Do You Know What a Diaper Cake Is?

So, Diaper Cakes are really popular right now and are SO cute but do you really know what's involved? I honestly didn't until I (we) received one from Bryan's boss. Let me give you the run down of what is included: 3 receiving blankets, 2 onesies, a bib, 40+ diapers, a pacifier, some stuffed toys and animals and travel-size shampoo, lotion and powder.

Oh my, if that is not a super gift that encompasses everything, I don't know what would be. I hope the pictures above do it justice. It is so cute and full of stuff you can actually use.

Bryan's boss Steve brought this to our Baby Shower. Steve's wife, Beth, made this for us. She somehow knew that we were doing a sports themed room so she incorporated that into the cake. She did an amazing job! She sells Diaper Cakes and as soon as I can find out how you can contact her, I will post it here.

Work Baby Shower

The IT Department at Bryan's work unexpectedly gave us a Baby Shower on 9/3/09. It was nice to finally meet so many of the people that Bryan works with everyday (and to see some that I already knew). Everyone was so nice and encouraging. We both had a great time and also received some great gifts! Here are just a couple of the pictures from our camera. I will post some more pictures from a co-worker's camera.

The First Picture of Our Baby Boy

We went and had a 3D/4D sonogram on 7/28/09 and our little boy could not keep his hands and feet away from his face (as you can see in this picture). The sonographer says that black on top of his head is a shadow and not hair. We'll see soon!

Family Baby Shower

My sister Meagan and sister-in-law Laura gave us a Baby Shower on 7/11/09, in Angleton. It was just family and a few close friends. It was so nice to visit with everyone. Bryan went along to be the "photographer" so he was able to share in on all the excitment. We received a lot of nice things and it was really good to see everyone (some we haven't seen since our wedding)! Thanks to all that came and especially thank you to Meagan and Laura.
