SNOWING, Again!

We woke up this morning to 2" of snow. Heavier snow is expected this afternoon. For now, Bryan is going to work so pray that he gets to work safely. Parker and I are staying in and working on some Valentine's candy for his doctor's office.

Pictures to come...

Super Bowl XLIV (44)

One day Parker will look back at this picture and laugh.....maybe at the TV or the football uniforms or maybe at his Daddy. Just think, when Parker is watching the Super Bowl when he is 16 years old, it will be Super Bowl 60, I will be 49 years old and Bryan will be 44 years old. YIKES!

The Colts (Indy) and the Saints (NO) played and the Saints won. IMO, there could not have been 2 better teams to play!

Weekend Visitors

The Campos family came for a visit over the weekend. The kids did not have school today so they stayed an extra day. We love when they come for a visit (we love it when anyone comes for a visit!) because Parker loves to watch Ryan and Emily. He also loves his Aunt LaLa and Uncle QuiQue. We didn't even leave the house while they were here but we stayed busy!

Here is Aunt LaLa making Parker laugh...
Ryan is showing me ALL the new teeth he has...

The kids needed to make a Valentine's box for their Valentine's party on Friday so we decided to help them out and we also thought it would be cute to make Parker one. Bryan and Henry covered some cereal (or Bisquick) boxes and the rest of us decorated them.

Here are Ryan and Emily's boxes....sooo cute. They are going to finish adding some final decorations once they get them home.

And then here is Parker's box. Since I was decorating it, I picked colors I like. He does like black, white and red so I wasn't totally off. It's kinda fancy for a boy but oh well. These pictures don't show it well but at the top of the box, there is a slit to put ALL of the Valentines that Parker thinks he is going to receive....HA!

We also watched the Superbowl together and ate A LOT of good food. The kids were great even though we didn't have any activities planned. It's nice sometimes to sit around, catch up and relax.

I Am 5 Months Old Today

Today marks 5 months since I came into this world and boy it's been interesting! My biggest accomplishment yet is eating. As you can see, I do it well! I eat cereal twice a day and still take 4 bottles. I am a pro at eating fruits but my Mom and Dad only let me eat apples, bananas and sometimes, peaches. We are learning that any fruit that starts with a "P", doesn't do well hours later (if you know what I mean). I have tried just about all the fruits though. Saturday, I started veggies. The picture above is me trying squash. It was ok but I like apples better. In a couple days, I will try sweet peas. My Mom was chanting something like this as she fed me squash: "be different than your Daddy, love those veggies". I don't understand yet but I will one day.

Some of the other things I've been doing:

-Sitting without support all the time
-Put my butt in the air a couple times
-Getting louder when I talk
-Laughing a lot
-Petting my dogs gently
-Making new friends
-Teething

And I am trying real hard to sleep in my big boy bed. I love my carseat though but Mom and Dad tell me it's time to grow up and sleep like a big boy. I think they forget that I am only 5 months old!

Well, I think that gives you an idea of what it's like in my world. The next few months will be fun and I've been told by my other friends that I will give my Mom and Dad (they are VERY cool people) a workout. I hope you come back soon for an update!

Mommy's Little Heartthrob

Parker and I were SUPPOSE to go to a Valentine's party today and host one tomorrow but on Friday night he started getting congested again. The doctor thinks it's not contagious but I am not taking any chances. We are going to stick around the house for a couple days and see how he feels on Wednesday. Also, it's very cold and rainy outside.

I decided to put his "party outfit" on even if we're not going out and we're going to start addressing Valentine's cards for our friends.

We're Back in Business

I have a lot of posts to make so stick around and enjoy! The posts will appear on or around the date in which they happened.

After Five Years of Marriage...

....things are so different yet a lot is still the same! Five years ago today at 2:47 pm, I became Bryan's wife. I am so glad that God made it crystal clear that He chose Bryan just for me! In the past five years, we have experienced so much! If you know me, you know that I am a list maker...so here is one for you to enjoy!

OUR top 10 favorite memories (in no specific order):
-Choosing to have a baby
-Running a 5K together
-Six vacations
-Making a commitment for me to be a Stay-at-Home Wife & Mother
-Serving, obeying and praying together
-Making family relationships a priority
-Searching together for a new Church when we moved to Plano
-Buying and remodeling our house
-Laughing at each other
-Attending marriage conferences together so that our marriage keeps getting stronger

I am looking forward to what God has planned for us in the coming years as individuals, as a couple and as parents!
